SequenTEST is an open architecture test sequencer that
serves as an add-on to a LabVIEW suite of Virtual Instruments. It offers a
single environment for sequencing of all test steps, including conditional
branching. The SequenTEST Editor offers increased engineering productivity
and is used for efficient test program development. Devised and engineered by testing experts, and
utilizing many years of practical testing, the SequenTEST tool suite
allows the user to develop and run highly efficient test sequences. It
supports optimal test execution and results in minimum costs of testing.
Empowered by a variety of features and sub-tools, the user finds it easy
and straightforward to plan, implement, validate and run a test
application. Utilized by a large number of companies throughout the world,
SequenTEST is often used in combinations of testing disciplines such as
functional test, boundary scan test, machine vision tests and many more
under the common SequenTEST umbrella.
The rapid test development environment is superior, and
its employment of proven test macros (VIs) for test instrumentation
further enhances productivity. For production testing, the SequenTEST
Factory increases test system throughput due to a low test overhead and
efficient execution algorithms. The SequenTEST set of tools is very powerful, offering
ease-of-use and a highly efficient test sequencing environment meeting
demands such as low test overhead (1 ms/test step), conditional jumps,
handling of diversities, multiple DUTs, reporting, logging to databases
and many others. It has efficient features for handling mixed-signal test
conditions such as limiter functions (point limiters, tunnel limiters and
window limiters). A graph viewer simplifies debugging and result feed-back
during test program development. SequenTEST allows the user to easily develop and
execute a user-defined sequence of validation steps for prototype
verification or tests for use in a quality-focussed production. Hence, the
sequencer greatly simplifies the difficult and often cumbersome task of
creating a test sequence in LabVIEW. The tool supports custom tailoring of test sequences in
an intuitive, easy-to-use programming style. Along with its flexibility,
this means savings in time and money. An open architecture allows the user to embed e.g.
LabVIEW based instrument drivers under SequenTEST in a straightforward
manner using a SequenTEST wrapper. Existing instrument drivers can thus be
